The Broody Two Pic

Why not??

Well, Claudia the turkey hogged all of the eggs, scovies need close to 40 days to brood. The duck is beside herself trying to nest, it was her nest first. I gave her some araucana eggs last night.

Not sure who will get what if anything hatches. I have not been able to keep the two girls seperate

Hmmm I see how that could happen. So far the duck stays on the nest more than the hen, she takes a lot of breaks during the day while Midnight is very vigilant. So far she hasn't tried to take Duchesses eggs, but you can tell she gets upset when the hen is off the eggs, she stares at them and quacks a lot.

That is so special

Did you mark the original eggs? I always mark the broody Hen's eggs because my girls are always wanting to lay in a broody gal's nest...they've got 11 other nests to choose from but nooooooooo LOL
