It's nice to see the bantam and LF bucks side by side as chicks. The bantam has a nice wide head. I love it's eye and how dark it is.

A lot of the bantam bucks I've seen at shows have crow heads and their type doesn't seem to resemble the LF buckeyes.

I can't wait to see how this biddie turns out.

Ps. Look at the eye ridge they both have. Love that on my birds.

This little chick is the first one I've hatched from my trio of Buckeyes from Don Gibson.



The chick hatched under a broody Wyandotte along with Cochin and Wyandotte chicks. There are more eggs in the incubator.

I am in search of some high quality Buckeyes. Chicks or eggs in middle TN.

It will be interesting to see how those really dark chicks grow out. Ours have been uniformly the red color in chick fuzz.

I'm sure this question has been asked but there are a lot of posts to scroll through. At what age do buckeye hens start laying?

Mine start 20 to 24 weeks.
