The building of Pea Palace(Pic Heavy)

Pea Palace is advancing, but because SOME BYC members here have twisted my arm enough,it's Mt Hope on Thursday.Netting is up but we noticed several long stretches where it wasn't knotted from the factory,,I'm talking it took 2 hours and over 100 zip ties to reconfigure the diamond design as it should be,,,,best part is,after I sent pictures to the seller I am getting another 50x50 net FREE because of the workmanship issues.I was hoping to have this project all wrapped up before Thursday but now I'M hoping to get 3 inside pens completed and 3 outside pens done.
We already have 5 new birds coming not counting anything that falls into the 2-3 colors I want and may find at Mt Hope,,so this weekend,Pea Palace will be done and full of birds.

Credit card is paid off,,cash is in the wallet,,and the checkbook has a new book of empty checks in it,,$122 to fill up with gas,,guess it's now back to Pea Palace building for the rest of the day.Would tomorrow be considered a "Working vacation day?",,ie,,tax write off?? jk!!

Word of warning - be sure and check the zip ties as time goes by. We used them to fix some holes in used netting we bought and after time the sun & weather caused them to start breaking. Our holes were small enough we then just pulled the netting together and hog ringed it.

Okay,to prove some progress has been made here is some new pics. Here is the way I ran support under the top netting. Each post is 10'x10' square apart.I bought 1000' of 1/8" cable but that wasn't near enough, probably used closer to 1300 feet total. There is cable running north-south,east-west,then I went diagonal from both post making a X across the middle of each open 10' squared area,,giving support to the middle.

Here is another picture taken a little farther away.It don't take long to cover a long length when the sheets are 20' plus in length.I plan next to nail 2"x4" welded galvanized wire above the sheet metal which will go all the way to just under the top netting.Since I ran 1/8" cable across each post I plan to just use zip ties between the posts to hold the wire up in the middle-top.The zip ties I'm using are UV resistant and is said to last as long as the top netting-10 plus years

Awesome!!!
