They try, those orps in the pics with my sermie boys are only about 12 weeks old. i put my juveniles in with my small Serama flock until they are big enough to go in with my breeder flock. Those girls are only about 1/2 the size of your average buff Orp hen that really puts into perspective the serama's size.

Here is some perspective on Serama size. Here are some pics of my serama babies with some bantam cochin babies. They are the same age, 6 weeks old.

This is a black serama on the left and a black bantam cochin x silkie mix on the right. This black serama is a larger one too.

As you can see, this white serama is way smaller than even the black serama the same age. So they can be very tiny.

How big are seramas compared to sebrights? I personally like huge chickens, but I have a friend who wants a flock of tiny chicken around his house that won't destroy his wife's flowers by crushing them when they dust bathe. I am trying to hatch some sebrights for him right now and he may want some of my d'uccles too.

I could claim they were from so-and-so but the most I know is I bought the father of the roo from someone in FL and the girl I hatched from a pair I bought from a lady in MS that said she picked hers up from Jerry in LA. They are both small B's. I do not have pictures at this time but daddy looks very similar to a BBR, mom is spangled. Both have very good type.
