precisely why i'm not stepping up to the plate

I owe 3 people eggs! My girls are laying on Thurs/Fri When I don't want to mail out eggs, and come Sat/Sun/Mon they quit! Ugh, stress of being a chicken/duck mom

Yea, I am ready to squeeze the eggs out of them. I have never had them be this slow at laying. But, hopefully they are just a little off due to our move. We had to set up make-shift pens to hold until we finish the real pens. I think they want their nesting boxes put back up! Some of them are picky about where they lay eggs.

Lol,I feel your pain. I currently have 2 hens with chicks,4 hens with eggs, 1 waiting for eggs and I went out yesterday and 2 more of my marans were still on the nest(for the 3rd straight day). I said, "oh,no!, someone has to lay eggs,but They're not interested in my problems. I don't want anymore mixed breeds,so I have to collect my marans eggs before I set them and the number of available hens to lay is dwindling.

Just remember, there may be a little wait for them! So, you need a little patience.
