I posted about how much trouble I had changing insurance companies on this thread:

I called yesterday to the Idiot Agent and asked if they had sent everything to my local agent yet.
The girl said "No" , I asked why, she said well, they are cancelling you! I was like

In 31 years of having a license and insurance I have NEVER been cancelled!!!!!

I had received a policy for hubby's car and the 75 Truck we have never owned the day .

The policy states start date 1/22/10 and end date 8/22/10

This agent has messed up at least 8 times on this mess. I told her to do nothing and I would call right back.

I called Geico, the insurance I had previously, explained myself and why I even went to another company (quote was lower)
they connected me to a Geico Agent in GA, within less than 15 minutes she had me quoted and insured and for $10 less per month than
the other Agent!

I called the other agent back told her to cancel immediately, that Geico was able to do in 15 minutes what she couldn't do in a week without making several errors.
They said they would mail me cancellation documents to sign, including the truck that we never owned!

I come home today and check email, they have emailed the documents

I printed everything, then scanned them back to my computer for my records.
I am mailing them out tomorrow. The Document for the Truck we don't own, they have reason for cancellation as "insured by another company" I wrote out to the side " Cancelled Because We Have never Owned and Agent added on their own!"

I am also writing a letter to the insurance commissioner and including copies of all documents!

At least I am 100% sure that I have Insurance now, I was never really sure with the Idiot!

Not only did Geico have me insured quickly, I was about 20 minutes away from home when I was on the phone with them, by the time I got home, I had copies of the Binders and Insurance Cards!

You realize that truly stupid people always think they are extremely smart. I work with one. The one that wondered why "Someone would think I would send my money to a third world country like South America".

I wonder how Smart she will think she is when the Insurance Commissioner gets my letter, I am also going to find out who at State Farm I can send a letter to regarding their Agents. There is No Way I am the only one that has had issues with this Idiot.

Wow....

I shudder to think what could have happened had you been involved in an accident....
Glad you have it all straightened out with another company now.

This is why we handle our car insurance ourselves. The agent we have for our house insurance is pretty much useless, and wouldn't know her butt from a hole in the ground.

Exactly! Hubby drives 45 miles one way to work on the interstate, an accident could have happened at anytime.

I am starting to think people should be given some sort of basic intelligence test before they are allowed to answer phones. i have come into phone contact with some real yahoos this week. JEEEZZZZ

Glad you got it sorted out.

How about an IQ test before you are allowed to have a phone??? Every whack job in the high desert has been out and yelling at us all week. I have a great deal of patience with people on the phone, most of the time. When some nut job calls me screaming at me, I tend to just hang up. I am aware that most of our passengers are mentally and physically handicapped, indigent or low income. It is the screamers that kill me.
