YOU JUST DONT UNDERSTAND!! YOU THINK YOU CAN GET A CANE CORSO TO DO A COMPETITIVE STYLE FOCUSED HEEL? Going from a golden to a Cane Corso would be a huge downgrade for me, even though I much prefer the size. Dobermans are way more trainable and higher drive than mastiff breeds.

Anatolian Shepherds, Great Pyrenees, Irish wolfhounds, cane corsos, amstaffs, etc are all much better

I LOVE Anatolian shepherds, they were once my favorite breed. But, seriously, I care about what’s inside. All of those breeds (besides amstaffs) don’t really have that much drive and certainly are no where near as trainable. I honestly don’t like the way Dobermans look and they are too small for my liking, but I don’t care. I am going to compete in Schutzhund and I’d love to do mondioring. Those are very demanding sports that need a highly trained non stubborn dog.

Why not get a German Shepherd or a Malinois then?

Good question!! Dobermans are much more closely bonded to one person, and malinois and German shepherds are smaller. Even though Dobies are not as big as I like them, at least SOME of them can be bigger than GSDs or mals. And I kind of like the shorter hair
