They're related, but a chicken isn't a T-rex that just (un)evolved throughout the years right?

Im pretty sure it means that chickens are T-rexes closest living relative, so they share a common ancestor. I dont think (could be wrong lol) that chickens are direct descendants of t -rexes though

yeah, I mean, a lot can happen in however many years old earth is, but a t-rex to a chicken?

I do know that birds are technically all dinosaurs
