The Chattahoochee Valley Poultry Association in Newnan Georgia

I am going to try to make it to the show it will be my first time going to any show. If anyone is bringing hatching eggs or chicks please PM me I might be interested. Chickens or ducks possibly geese. Brahamas and Ameraucanas are my favorites but I keep many other breeds as well. Just looking for bloodline diversity. Good luck to all who are entering birds. A question for the more knowledgable. I've entered our Blue Laced Red Wyandotte Cock. I know that this color is yet to be recognized. What is the highest award that he could receive?

Tomorrow, Friday, we can coop our birds up. At what time to you pull food and water to prevent the birds from soiling themselves prior to judging on Sat? Are you able to prep them again Sat prior to judging and what is that time frame. What feed is suggested at the show? All newbie questions I know!!!

They do provide feed at the show. But some people bring food from home since they are used to eat. Mine will eat anything . Pigs

I will be bringing.
Canadian geese 3 males 2 females
a pair of saddle back Pomeranian geese
and a sebbie mix gander

IF a breed is not yet recognized, Best of Breed.

The highest an unrecognized variety of a particular Breed can place is "Best of Variety". I can not win "Best of Breed".

yes thank you for the correction. I am sorry I am accustomed to dealing with the various unrecognized breeds of oriental breeds, not varieties. so yeah the highest award he could receive is BV (Best of Variety). thank you.
