*SIGH* I've set the trap 4 times for a possum...once got one of our cats, once caught a skunk, once caught a stray at, and today caught a raccoon! I suppose I've known we have raccoons because it's kind of hard not to with a couple acres of woods and a water source nearby, but actually SEEING one made me a little afraid for my chickens safety!!!

I hate it when I catch my own cats!!!! what did you do with the stray cat? a coon... Why are you going for the oppusom? Is it because you don't like them?
 
Just cause I know its there and rather it not be. I'm glad I got the other things I did (besides my cat. :p) I know its impossible to get ALL the coons and possums off our farm, but the way I see it, ess there is the less of a chance there is of my chickens getting attacked. I'm not sure if this is right or not...but... In the past, (before we got chickens) we always relocated the possums and raccoons but now with chickens...I'm thinking that might not be a good idea. How smart are raccoons about coming back? There is a deserted gain elevator (or something,,,can't remember) that had plenty of mice running around that we take any stray cats we catch too. Besides one we've never gotten them back.

Oh okay. Yeah :P . Yeah... I don't really know never relocated one. They are really smart though. I caught another cat. I don't where it came from.
 
Awwww it's a pretty kitty!!!! *ahem* My girl side coming through LOL What type of trap do you have?
