The cheapest and eaisest chicken waterer you'll ever use.

I use a galvinized steel pan this time of year for waterers..... The ducklings swim in it and the chickens sometimes like to stand in it to get their hot feet colled down in the summer heat. I change them twice a day.... Easy no but it works for me
 
This would work well where my coop/run are located as I could let the overflow trickle into my garden (which is next to the run). Of course, none of this will be necessary once I finish training my birds to simply walk to the faucet, turn it on, and use the drinking ladle I've placed for them. So far my plan seems to have a hole in it but, for the life of me, I'm not seeing it....
 
I've been trying to train our hens to do the same thing. However, secretly, I think the hens enjoy seeing me change their water, trip, get wet, etc.
