That was great to watch. Has the chick dried out yet? It would be fun to see it all dry and fluffy. Memories. We've hatched out chicks and what stress it is until they are all out and under the warming lamp.

With 90% humidity the chick is not dry but is starting to. I will have more pics as soon as it holds still.

Hehe! I'm just haunting this thread waiting for a fluffed out chick.

This is my 3rd and last hatch of the season. It's my dream hatch actually. My first were EE's and ee mixes and I was just as ecstatic as the OP is in this thread. I filmed them, photographed them and posted them all here...shouting from the rooftops! Second I did cuckoo marans. I set up a webcam for them because they started hatching in the middle of the week and that was my way to keep an eye on the bator while I was at work. And this hatch I have 13 black copper marans eggs, three serama eggs and one frizzle I hope!

Ok back to our regularly scheduled hatch watch! Bring on the fluffbutt!
