Greetings! My name is Michael Bradley...and I have been bitten by the chicken bug! I finally convinced my hubbie that chickens would be great for us here...we bought a house last August with 2 acres, and we seriously need some clucking! I am planning on getting some Ameracauna's, Polish Goldens, and some Wyandotte's. I also know we'll be needing a rooster, and I have some questions about that so I'll post those in a more appropriate forum. I can't wait for our coop to arrive!
I am a Mom of 2(a girl, 11 and a boy, 5). I am a retired California Highway Patrol Officer(I was hit by a drunk driver in '99 and broke my neck and shattered my wrist, among other things...so I'm gimpy and can't do the job). I am also an artist, and you can see a tiny bit of my work at www.warfrost14.deviantart.com (I hope that doesn't break any rules) I don't have any chicken art YET, but once I get my girls, I plan on it!
I was really impressed with this site the first time I found it(thanks Google!), and once my hubby gave me the go ahead for our flock, I couldn't wait to sign up! I am really looking forward to being involved here, and I hope I don't sound sound TOO clueless!
