The Chicken Health Handbook: which edition?

Hi everyone! I can across a book recommendation for Gail Damerow's The Chicken Health Handbook a few times on this forum. It's a great reference - I've been repeatedly checking it out from the library

I'd like to buy a copy, and on Thriftbooks I can get the edition from 1994 for $4. The one I've been reading from the library is the second edition - updated very recently.

For anyone who has read both versions: is the old one "good enough"? Or is the new one markedly better?

I have seen both but I only have the first edition. I plan on buying the second one but the information in the first book is extremely valuable for something you can get on Amazon for as little as $1.
If money is tight, go for the first one. If not, go for the second edition.

IMO, it is a must have for any chicken keeper's library.
