Hello,
I lot has happened and my 4 original layers, whom were laying just fine, have started producing weird eggs:
- Some have a little bit of unfinished business piled up on top (see pic);
- Some look like they rolled in the sand before the finishing coat (see pic);
- Some look like a bad dye job with discoloration.
They have been moved twice in 3 months and the last move was quite bumpy. It's all on the same property though. We are starting an egg business and the infrastructure is still very fluid as it develops as fast as we can build it.
I have given them more yogourt with ground eggshells lately and they had a plate of scrambled eggs as well.
Lastly, move #2 was on less than ideal pasture. It was 3 weeks ago. They are now on good pasture. At least as good as can be until it grows better. Waiting for sunshine...
Is it stress, something wrong with my girls, or the result of different pasture qualities?
Thanks
