Gent looked at the princess in shock, his beak almost dropped wide open when she uttered those words. Plenty of things crossed his mind as he stared at her, is she trying to do something to me? Is she interested in me? We only just met, maybe shes trying to get me fired. Or maybe shes just actually curious. Why would the princess care about that though? Im just a guard, what do I matter to her?
Gent shook his head a bit, "No," he answered. "Why do you ask?"

Gent coughed into his wing then ruffled his feathers. "Im always lonely," he stated calmly. A pang of longing echoed through his heart but he didnt pay attention to it. "I dont have time for anything besides protecting you and your family, your Highness. Again, may I ask why?"
