I can't believe this. I've been thinking of getting a few chickens for a while now. Thought I would build a cute little coop and get 2 - 3 hens. Well I found a complete setup - coop, (not cute, but well made) feeders, waterer and 9 HENS on Craigslist for $175! I've got the trailer and crew to move it, and I'm getting the whole shebang on Saturday.
Husband doesn't think I can manage a flock, but I managed a herd of meat rabbits for 3 years, so I know I'm up to the job.
But now I'm getting scared. I know the Law of Unintended Consequences is going to go into effect soon. So other than daily chicken care (which, yes, I have read up on), can any of you experienced keepers tell me some of the changes coming into my life because of these hens?
Thanks so much.
