The Chickens Dogs

I live in North Florida and know one or two people that keep them. I'd really like to get a LGD, one that will guard the chickens and ducks now and that I'd be safe adding goats with later. I hate the hair for their sakes, but so far I haven't seen a real short haired LGD alternative.

Suggestions?
