Alright, we all know all of us are chicken crazy!

Yes we do!

Thats horrible. You  had to wait soooooooooo long and then they didn't even com! We just got our chicks from the feed store and then our ducks only took 1 and a half weeks to get here.

Nice writing! It made me angry and sad at the same time. But don't waste your time being angry and sad. Its for the best that you wait to get chickens. I have chickens, rabbits, a lizard, and a frog that my parents didn't want. My mom has learned to love them, but my dad still has regret. They also blame any household problems on me and my pets. I love my pets, but with them came the burden of me being treated like crap, a lot more than I should, and tons of work. My point is, it's best to wait for the right time to get something that you want, rather than getting it out of instant desire. Trust me on this. I think it will be easier on you and your family if you wait. It took me 3 years of begging and persuading to get my chickens. My mom was finally convinced to get chickens when my friends mom told her how they are the best pets. Maybe your mom just needs some convincing? It wasn't right for her to lie though. Take that as a lesson. Remember how destroyed you felt when those chicks never came, and never let anyone else feel that way. Just keep in mind that someday, you will have chickens, and who knows? it could only be a matter of time before you do. Sometimes, the unexpected happens.
