Wow, amazing job getting pictures. Those little chicks move so quickly.

Here’s a Cocoa update. He/she has some dark shaded barring and some brighter red at the tips of the feathers. Still no lacing at all. The barring is subtle compared to the 2 scarlets.

Cocoa has an overall smokey look compared to the scarlet. He puffed up for the camera, so it’s a good shot of his feathers.

Woo hoo it’s a boy! The other Egyptian looks like another hen, and the scarlets and joker face, I wont know for a while, these chicks are only 2 1/2 weeks old.

Wow I can't believe how feathered yours looks at two weeks. I will have to take more pictures next time but I feel like at 4 I still have some with chest not quite filled in.

It’s good and bad, my chick food costs $35 for 20 lbs, they should be bionic after that haha.

I did find another food I can get locally milled supposedly. It’s like 19.95 for 50 lbs, 28% etc. I emailed the company to get an ingredient list, I hope it works out. That’ll save me a ton.

It’s some kind of co op. But they mill it there it seems. Some co ops have membership fees and such, so I’ll see what they say to my email.

Here’s a Cocoa update, I think I will try to sell the 4 besides Cocoa and the male. The hen and the 3 other unknowns should go pretty fast, so this may be the last comparison pic of Cocoa and his sibs.

I hit post too fast, he’s the top one. You can see he has no lacing compared to the other. He’s looking very lovely. I say he, but I know which hens have no barring and lacing and they aren’t red, so I’m thinking he’s a she haha.
