The Chronicles of Samson: Olympic Diver

It's been a while since I have updated this. Lots has happened and many things in my life have changed, so please forgive me if I seem vague on the details. It's painful.

Samson and I are staying with a family member of mine for the next three months. So far he has adjusted perfectly to the dogs, though he is having some trouble with their kitten. I think he thinks "Tiger" is some sort of highly interactive toy that he can just beat the cr@p out of whenever he feels the urge lol. All in all he has become more loving in the last week since we moved out. He is a great comfort to me. He even snuggles up with me at night and rarely ever bites anymore. I like to think he is happy. He did have one potty accident, but I think it's because his litterbox keeps getting moved.

Unfortunately, I have no new pictures. I will do my best to get some more soon.

So sorry to hear this! I haven't posted in a while but I've still been following the little pooper's progress and hoping things work out well for you.

I'm glad that whatever's going on you have a family member to lean on, and you know you can always vent here if you need. Good for you rescuing little Samson, now he gets to do his part by being a comfort to you. Sometimes there's nothing better than a warm purring cat snuggling up with you.

I'm not surprised he'd regress a little bit given the changes, so at least he has an understanding momma!

Hey all

Things have drastically improved since the last time I posted. Samson and I are back home much sooner than expected and so far, everything is wonderful again.

I haven't posted any pictures in quite a while, so I thought a hilarious video of Samson trying to punch a guitar would make up for it

Yea, his tail is ridiculous lol. I don't know if he is going to grow into it, or if he will just always have a tail that is longer than his whole body

I guess time will tell on that one.

I love watching him interacting with his little world. He is quite the hunter for a cat that has never been outside for more than 2 minutes! He hunts flies like they are his only food source, and judging by the number of beetle wing covers I find on the carpet, he is supplementing his diet well!

I dread the day that we move somewhere that is safe for him to be outdoors. I just know we will be receiving a wide assortment of "gifts" from our little carnivore. Silly boy.

Just found this thread a few days ago - what a cutie Samson is! And kittens are a handful, without a doubt.

Hope this isn't too personal, but reading through this also makes me very concerned. Would you consider reading through this list and making an honest assessment of your relationship with Jamison?

Eowyn: Hi! I am touched by your concern. I did go to that website and clicked through several links. While some of the "red flags" have been there in the past, most have not. Jamison and I absolutely have our issues, perhaps more so than most couples. Some of those issues can turn into big problems if left untended, but we are handling them and making changes. We are currently in the care of a Christian Couple's Counselor and seeing individual therapists. I was in an abusive environment as a child, and have promised myself not to allow the same thing to happen to me as an adult. I promise you, as I have promised both of our respective parents, that if I feel endangered, I will leave. I have faith that God can heal any situation, no matter how broken. And that is where we are right now. Immersing ourselves in His Word together and healing. I really appreciate that you cared enough to share that link. I know that took a little courage
