the coop I hope to build

I want to build a new coop and put some bantams in it. The coop part would be 4 x 8 and the run would be 8 x 10, how many chickens could I fit in there with free ranging only with supervision. If you have any questions please ask. (please excuse my drawings I am not very artistic)

Very nice drawing Corey, and great lay out too.

I'm a newbie myself, still building my first coop. But from what I understand, you may want to raise the nest off the coop floor, making it less convenient for your hens to walk in there and sleep / poop in it. But you may have a problem because your coop floor is raised so high already and you don't want to climb a ladder everytime you collect eggs!

Also make sure there's easy access for cleaning the coop.

For what it's worth, from a newbie. I'm looking forward to hear comments from the experts out there.

Looks great! You'll love the raised floor in your coop to get at eggs, etc.
