The coop is nearly done! Too much ventilation??

I would definitely add vents at the top of the gable ends, also, as hot as your summer weather gets. Nice job on the visuals, Ed! It will release a lot more of the hot air than the lower vents.

Here's what I did on the people door of my coop. I'm in NW Wisconsin and I didn't want snow blowing into the coop thru the screen. Plus it'll keep the rain off.

I would keep all of the front opening you have, in addition to adding the vents at the peak. You will need every bit of that ventilation when it's hot. During your coldest weather, you can always cover some of the ventilation.

They'll be fine. It gets into the teens every once in a while here in WA, and my birds choose to sleep in the run under a tarp.
