We don't have a basement. I've shut my chickens in their coop, grabbed pillows and blankets (oh no... I can see my lights slightly flickering...), have my phone (which has access to internet), my iTouch, things I want to save (breyer horses, avatar figure, animal figures etc.), we've got food and drinks, and I've got six bags of stuff packed up in the hallway. I think we're good.

oh my goodness!! this is making me freaked out!! is it already storming??

Cause you girls aren't doing anything------I just washed up after repairing a neighbor's Hot water Heater. Had to shut off the juice (electricity), drain the tank remove the rusted in elements, buy new ones, install and refill the tank, then turn the juice back on---water is heating up. Yall got to be part plumber, part electrician, and part mechanic to save the neighbor a two hundred dollar bill. If I'm lucky, I'll get a six-pack out of it!

oh ya! well guess what i just did!! i stared at the computer for 6 hours!!!

Chloe, I've got good news. The first storm has passed over us, but we've still a few more storms to survive through. The second one is supposed to be bad, but it's pretty far away right now.)

It's scary, lemme tell ya that. I've never BEEN in one, but I've expierienced warnings. I'm calming down a little bit, cuz it's almost 4:00, no storms yet, phew! But we're supposed to get REALLY bad ones around 5:00.
