Chapter 5 - Insanity
Felix watched as all color drained from her face, as her jaw tightened a little more.
"Kiki? Are you alright?"
"I-I'm scared..."
He looked sympathetically at her. "Why?" He draped an arm around her.
"The character... went insane here..." Kiki shivered. "Even with all those people... Travelling with him..."
Felix hardly let her finish. He pulled her tightly into his arms and didn't let go. "Hush. You have me, the entire time. I won't leave you. I swear."
Kiki looked up, her eyes drowning in grief. As if she could foretell something he couldn't.

They had walked for hours together, wordlessly, when Felix realized Kiki was singing to herself:
"There was a crooked man and he walked a crooked mile,
He found a crooked sixpence upon a crooked stile.
He bought a crooked cat which caught a crooked mouse,
And they all lived together in a little crooked house..."
Her voice wasn't... Hers. This voice was different, eerie and satanic, almost.
"Kiki...?"
Whispers drifted by his ear: "Felix?"
He looked around, then back at Kiki.
And saw that what was standing there
wasn't
Kiki.
