The crowing FEMALE sebright

My little Seabright hen crows every morning, she started around two years old, the spring after we lost our rooster, I'm not sure which factor caused the change. She's definitely female and still a pretty good layer, we're getting 5-6 eggs a week from her.

Not a personal fan of that color so I'm not sure on quality since I don't mess with them. She looks pure though at a glance
Thanks! I was told the laced pattern they have are hard to perfect, so i wouldn’t expect it to be perfect, as long as he/she isn’t a mix i would be happy.

I'd definitely get a second opinion, but they don't look mixed to my untrained sebright eyes

I don't know for sure, but I'd say its a cockerel. This is one of my Silver Sebright pullets and then my Silver Sebright cockerel. They are 15 wks.

eggs are a surefire way to prove female. A male will never be able to lay. Lack of eggs is a bit of a fuzzy area though.

If it's important to know, a DNA test is available:

But if it isn't a big deal either way, I would just save the money and be patient. These things usually become more obvious with time (although less obvious in Sebrights than in many other breeds, because of Sebrights being henfeathered.)
