The dogs brought me a present!

Some lovely fresh cut deer legs! Found them right on our property, which happens to be in a preserve. Probably the same poacher that ripped down all of our POSTED: NO HUNTING signs.

At least they were nice enough to take the head!

My dogs do that, too. I could have built a small deer cyborg army, last year. So far this hunting season, they haven't brought back quite so many pieces. Although I did find something that looked rather like a lung the other night.

That would make me so mad! Our neighbor has permission to hunt squirrels on our property. Anybody else that tries is going to meet some of our deputies, quick like.

My childhood dog did that once, she was so excited. I still remember her carrying the upper leg, while the lower joint swung beneath her.

My dogs bring in deer parts, cow parts, you name it, they bring it. Once, pearl and ceila brought home a COW'S HEAD!

My Charlie Girl brought me home her fresh coyote kill once. She was so proud of herself. It was right after she learned to stop running from them - no more bites on her hind legs - and start killing them.
