Poachers are the ones who ruin it for the rest of us who hunt legally and are respectful of the land and game...

The owner was so upset by all the trouble this caused, he rescinded Dad's permission to use the land. The police kept patrolling the land, and caught 5 more poachers! They're still catching them... But boy... did that ruin a day!

I HATE poachers!!!

Grrr that makes me mad! Do you have game cams? Set a few up and try to get some photos of the jerk. I will warn you though- CHAIN them down and put a lock on them. If he is determined enough to take down your no hunting signs, he may try to make off with a game cam too. I love to hunt, but I only hunt where Im suppose to and when and what Im suppose to. Of course, where I hunt I know the owners have guns too. Good luck finding that trespasser!

HOLY COW! That really gets under my skin. I would have to take some kind of legal action after that. I don't understand it! Yes it is trouble to find spots to hunt now-a days but I would rather blow 25 on my hunting tags than STEAL from somebody whom I would assume has a gun. Its just so stupid!

sometimes i do a little skinning work for an outfitter who does private buffalo hunts. 5000 acres of varied terrain and trophy buffalo.

You don't really think it was you they were thinking of when they dragged those yummy bones home, do you?

We had a big poacher problem here a few years back. I think they were all jailed. a nasty group of guys.
Something going on here now that we haven't seen before is headless roadkill deer. I guess there isn't anything wrong with it, the deer is already dead....it's just unsettling to see them headless like that.

I make Sure Each Year our No Trespassing, hunting, etc. signs are up due to our land being bordered by other large woods. & I don't want an idiot wanting to take a shot at my brown & varying colors of Dairy Goats, Llamas or Alpacas............ a neighbor of my parents (about 25min away from us, in the same county) actually had some Idiot shoot a purebred... (clearly black & white) full grown milking Dairy Holstein Heifer with a bow & arrow...

......IDIOTS, total idiots.

That's why I worry so much that I have brown animals some with No white on them & if Idiots are willing to shot a clearly recognizable cow, what chance doesn't any other animal have.? sad, just sad.

I know- our alpacas are all shades of brown. We already lost one this year to a copperhead. I'd just die if they were hurt or killed.
