The Dragon Riders

"However, I'll let you two stay here since this is my barn now." Justin grinned at Aria. She hated him. "...Fine." She put her hand on Starflight's side. "We'll be taking a walk in the woods." And with that she left with her dragon out the backdoor of the barn.

Ryan stopped when he was at the edge of the forest. He felt a little bad about just leaving... No, I'm not suppose to grow affection to anything. He reminded himself. Ryan hopped off his horse when he got to the palace stables and tied his horse up.

Julie closed her eyes and listened to the stillness of the lake and forest surrounding her. Slowly, she drifted off to sleep, her bow and arrow, along with her daggers, beside her in the grass. Cocoa sat down in the grass and sunset stayed perched on the branch.

Chip sat, curled up, on Julie's bed, waiting for Julie.

By the time dinner had ended, Julie still wasn't back. The queen was beginning to worry. She talked to the king alone in the book study. "She still isn't here. I'm worried." She said in a slightly panicked voice. The king nodded. "She'll be ok." He said, though he was worried too. The queen tried to take a deep breath. She felt dizzy and needed to sit down. She sat in a reading chair once the king left the room.
