The waiting is terrible. But you know whats worse? Having chickens (8)and not knowing their age. I have had them for about three weeks now. I purchased them( first time chicken owner) and the lady said they will be laying any day.
I have one Americuna that layed green/blue eggs every other day (six total) and has not layed for the past five days. The other americuna is a younger hen that is just starting to go pink. My RIR are all red since I got them and nothing and my Barred rocks are about the same. I also have two bantum Millie fluers who are probably about a month out. So you wait and then think your doing something wrong. And read ,and watch and question yourself, and run out to the coop and check and read,and adjust things in the coop and wait. But it is fun.
