There was a great article in the charlotte Obs online a few weeks ago about relocating ducks and geese from a neighborhood pond. My favorite shot was the one with the guy having duck poo all over him

And yes, it has really been hot here - and temps no lower than 96 deg for the whole week to come... I'm ready for a break in this heat wave!

We have a reputation for being *welcoming* and 100*+ degrees isn't very friendly.
You'll have to visit again when we're not in the middle of a *freaky* heat wave.

Arlee, we actually helped the man with the duck poo get more ducks from that pond last Wednesday. Jen Gordon of Carolina Waterfowl Rescue who was working with Nature's Gate is the Director of Duck Rescue as well. It was quite an experience to be part of a round up. THe ducks are ready to be adopted to good homes.

Dipsy, everyone here is so nice! We got lost in SC last Tuesday taking some 40 muscovies to a lady with a large private pond. I think we were in and around York. I took pics at a cemetary there. Thank goodness for airconditioning!
