I NEED ADVICE ALL YOU MOTHER DUCKERS!

I live in MT, sometimes we get -20 in the dead of winter. I am getting baby ducks & geese in June. Trying to perfect their giant predator proof run that they will stay in when I am at work or not home (free range when I am home) I want to know if I can put wild sagebrush in their pen? Is it toxic? Will they destroy it completely? Also, I would like to add wild grass that grows in our fields. Does anyone have any helpful info on sagebrush & ducks, geese? I think it would be perfect- cold hardy, thick wood branches, little maintenance, ect. Of anyone can help, I would be very much appreciative. I cannot find any info on Google that relates with ducks & sagebrush!

I didn't see anything in that article that would indicate it would cause any harm to ducks-can you
clarify where you saw that?

@FishingMT I live in Southern Idaho and we have a LOT of sagebrush. And a lot of water fowl including ducks who use it for shelter on hot days when they are out of the water. I free range all of my poultry (ducks, chickens, turkey) and while I can't say with certainty that they do or don't eat it, I CAN say that if they ingest it, it doesn't seem to create any problems. My best guess based on my experience is that it is a-ok to plant. Especially if you are planting native sagebrush to use as shelter.

These are ducklings I hatched, Big Mama's are only about 2 weeks.

Hey guys just drove all night to get home and I think something is wrong with Storm. Can ducks get cocci? Hubby didnt do a super great job cleaning brooder and shes pretty shaky and lethargic not sure on poop yet haven't seen. He said she was fine until this morning

Sage brush is perfect, Sage is used as a spice in our kitchen and also used as a health supplement. You will find it in the stores with the spices.

Yes, they can get cocci.
