Hi!

I would like to know how many eggs a duck lays at one time?

My duck is at 30 now and she hasn't stopped... Is it because I take the eggs away?

It all depends on the duck. Some lay as many as 300 a year, some maybe 100 or fewer. What breed do you have?

My male is a Mallard and the female is a Mallard Blue Swede mix?

Jumping in on the water at night issue...I put mine in their house at about 10 or 11pm, and let them back out around 8am. They don't get any water in their duck house because they make such a mess with it....they are fine in the morning but they do go immediately to the water bowl, lol. As far as eggs, I have 2 Runners and they have hardly missed a week between them...great layers, better than some of my chickens, though this is their first year laying.

I can't do that, I'm in bed by that time.lol.

I wish I could say the same for my runner, 1st year of laying, gave me 4 eggs. She has been off for half a year not. Or maybe 5 months.
