The Duck Thread

Hi all,
Just a quick question. Locking up my ducks tonight, on their way in on of them dived off chasing a fly as I watched I noticed it wasn't a fly but a bee. So I thought will a wasp or bee sting hurt a duck?
The bee was too quick and got away, but the duck was close to having it.

One of my ducks plucked a bumblebee out of the air and ate it. I was a little worried too, this being my first year with ducks, but he or she is fine :)

Here is the duck (Bruce) that ate the bee:
3 days old

5 weeks old

I was wondering if anyone had a guess about what his or her breed might be. Like I said, I am new to ducks, as of this year, but I have had geese for almost 10 years. I'm looking forward to the duck experience!
So glad that this site exists!
Thank you for the help

I think maybe Blue Swedish... I'm no expert, maybe somebody else will pitch in.

He is definitely a Blue Swedish! Very handsome!

His color is very similar to my drake, Hans. I also have 5 females about 2-3 weeks. Here is a pic for comparison (some Black Swedish in there too):

A bee sting won't harm a duck.
My gander stepped on a bee last year, not sure what kind but his foot swelled and I had to soak his foot in ES for close to a week to bring down the swelling it might have went down by itself but I felt I needed to do something, I could tell it was hurting him.
