How loud we talkn? Like rooster loud?!

My neighbors rooster is louder but I hardly hear his chickens. It's not a nonstop scream/ack, ack, ack but they let me know when they want something. Since the weather has gotten nice they seem to have chilled down a few notches. I live in a subdivision and my neighbors have said they are fine and don't mind them.

when my girl ducks get going you hear them! no doubt in whos making noise. but its usually brief just a few seconds and then they quit and the rest of the time their quiet

I just candelled the eggs,

chickens: I saw 9 moving, and 1 I wasn't sure about, and I thought 11 were infertile, but I cracked them open, and 2 were still alive, I saw their hearts moving, it was very sad, I didn't think they were alive :'(

Duck: he is moving quite a bit

Geese: 5 are growing, and 3 were infertile

Do they wake you up in the middle of the night? Or in the morning?

I have never heard mine before I'm up... At 7:00am most days, and I don't hear them until I'm out to see them... the roosters I can hear as early as 3:00am (my ducks and chickens are very close to our house)

hello! so I had two ducks Luna and Quincy and Luna died about a year back so Quincy has been living on his own with me but during the day I can't be there with him. so I was thinking about getting a baby duckling for him. he was the alpha male of the two so would he hurt the baby? I would want to make sure nothing happened so they wouldn't be left alone in the beginning. just some thoughts

Do they wake you up in the middle of the night? Or in the morning?

Once mine are in their house they are quiet. I can hear my male through the night when my windows are open and I'm awake. But that's it. In the morning if I'm not out there when the sun comes up they tell me. I usually don't hear them till I'm up though. Also I only have a 3 sided coop so they know when the sun comes up!

no they are quiet and sleeping during the night and usually dont start making noise in the morning till after i'm awake for the day anyway.....i dont find it annoying or anything and they dont do it often

welsh harlequin and khaki campbell's are the best egg layers and runners lay well but most ducks will lay decently...i have 3 cayuga females and i get 3 eggs every day from them...so choose which ever breed or breeds you like the look of
