The Duck Thread

nope I'm trying to find a way but if I do its either going to be us being evicted or my duckies taken away. And they are very happy and very well cared for me. I love them, honestly, and they love me, only me not my husband but hey whatever works.
What will happen when quacking begins? Maybe you should begin to look for a place with a yard??

we're all so good at enabling.

duckies do you have friends or family with a yard or outside of city limits? I have my chicks and ducks at a friends property and go out and spend time with them and take care of them as I am not allowed other than my dogs in town. she is out of town and we share the work and costs so it works out really well and someone is always there

speaking about avatar... How do I choose mine. Or do I need a premium account

If your on mobile you need to switch to desktop view I had the same problem trying to find where I needed to be.

Of course my ducklings would hatch within minutes of the rain starting lol

Congrats. Thunder always does strange things to animals :)

this is what I see when I go to Edit Profile

You are evidently using either a tablet or a phone for access??? Each app/browser for those devices may be a little different but on my Nexus 7 Tablet using the Chrome browser it is the same as using my desktop. Based on the image you posted you might try tapping the three button icon in the upper right, the dropdown might have something related to your profile. The other thing might be the menu icon in the upper left with the number 1. That menu might have something. Otherwise log on via a desktop and use the profile menu in the upper right corner of your browser. Good luck.

beautiful little hatchlings I'm so jealous right now! Makes me wanna go pick up more babies!!!

(First time duck mommy) my 1 month old pekins go out from about 3- sundown, because that is when I'm home? They have a blast outside 1 plays in the pool the other stands by the pool siping from it (won't go in) either of them have yet to even pay any attention to their coop. They still come in at night. Can I trust they will be fine if I let them out in the morning until 3 when I come home? My biggest fear is them drowning or something happening when I'm not here. They need more fresh air.. I'm just having a hard time letting them go solo lol

I'm fairly new to being a duck Momma well and I had some separation anxiety when we put our ducks outside. the oldest of our mix flock is 6 weeks old the youngest is 4 weeks old, and since we've got such nice weather now...((lows mid 60°, highs are mid 80) All of the flock spends their time outside..They have an "indoor/outdoor" coop proof,. And with z indoor part the king get out of this on henry know if need be. they're in from 8pm-12pm, and free range the other hrs. (Bedsides my cuddle duck -GreyFeather-) anyway.... they have all been fine on their own. Plenty of food and water, but no swimming Unless supervised.

It's 63 out already so I went ahead and put them out for the day. They seem to approve as my non-swimmer decided to jump right in the pool! They have tons of water tubs out as it's supposed to reach low 80s today. Hubby will come home and check on them at noon. Wish us luck!

good luck on your baby's first day out I'm sure they will be fine and missing you!
