The Duck Thread

Lol that is what I meant, I didn't even notice auto correct changed it. I can't find pellets at any local store. What should I be looking for?

I'd recommend looking for the Purina Flock Raiser pellets in the green bag... slightly higher price than DuMor, but higher protein and better quality IMO... mine eat a bit less of it and waste is less also so end up saving in the end anyways... just my 2 cents though... :)

I used to use Purina flock raiser crumbles but he refuses to eat it. I'm scared to buy a 50 lb bag of something in case he won't eat itit. My local tsc don't carryvit. I suppose I could order that online though thanx

Oh, what an adorable group you'd have!! What color calls do you have? I've never seen you post many pics of them.

Whites, blue fawns and grays right now. I don't post pics because my ducks have apparently picked up my dislike of having pics taken. Something I posted in another thread last week. If I were to post pics of ours, all you'd see is pics of their butts.

I'm surprised he wouldn't eat it, mine were more picky about the duMor, lol... sometimes it's darker and they would look at it funny...
You might ask at TSC to see if they can have a bag added to their next order, would save you in shipping and couldn't hurt to ask... hope you get it all worked out, good luck... :)

Just to add a question I've my two on layers pellets and I mix it with porridge oats and mixed corn. It's lasting ages and they love it, which is great! But I wonder do you have to use it within a specific time? Mine will def last at least 8mths per bag.

The only cost I have with them at the minute is their woodshavings and the rabbits dry food but I'm thinking of getting it in bulk!

There's a thread on here. I think its called the ultimate lust of duck food and treats or something. It will kiust everything. My duck garden us tomatoes, lettuce, kale, cabbage, bellpeppers, sweet Italian peppers, marigolds, and my ducks eat everything and its all safe. I did research before planting!
