I guess my ducks need some more treats. I am disappointed if they don't put themselves in. Then when they don't, I go out and they huddle by the door of the house and when I open the door, they run right in.![]()
Of course that will change early April when they get their big pool.![]()
What a hoot imagining THAT!!! Thanks for the information. I am anxious to get the babies.Mine don't. Big bodied bird! Of course they try... Generally it ends up looking like a bunch of tippy toed fat ballerinas in duck costumes!!!

Curious question: does anyone else's flock divide into sub groups by themselves? My younger ducks all seem to have formed their own group and hang out together. The two mallard girls and the four mutts have no problem mingling with the other seven older ducks (although they're not that much older, only about 6-7 months older), but they always seem to separate again and pal around. They are also my rebels. When I herd the ducks in their pen, the older ones have no problem filing in, but the rebels want to stay outside and put up a fight. They are all mallard or half mallard, so I don't know if that has anything to do with it. Just an interesting observation![]()
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH WHY R THEY PANCAKING ON THE SNOW?Spent a little time with my chilly flock yesterday. They are NOT liking the cold and neither am I. All the eggs were frozen and cracked *grumble grumble*
