Okay.....do you have a picture of a duck with a sinus infection? So I no what it looks like, I will do more research on it.No, they don't... they have one oil gland at the base of their tail only... I really think it's a sinus infection...

@Spyderk117 I wish you'd get Merlin some antibiotics or take him to a vet he needs helps. Poor thing.Merlin sure looks like he has it! Is it contagious to other birds?
Thanks.
Yes I know.@Spyderk117 I wish you'd get Merlin some antibiotics or take him to a vet he needs helps. Poor thing.

Okay, oh I am even more worried now! So the two antibiotics you mentioned before, are those the right ones to use?Depends on what is causing it as to whether it is contagious or not... a bit of debris could have irritated his sinus cavity, gotten stuck there, or scratched it to cause the infection... I have a theory Calls can be more susceptible to sinusitis due to their 'squashed face' look in the more SQ specimens, kinda like pugs and persians in dogs and cats, but that's just a guess...
Either way, I would definitely get him on an antibiotic asap... sinus issues can be severly damaging to eyes, breathing and brain... too close to all the important central areas for my own comfort for sure...
Vet is best, but if your vet thinks that is from a duck stepping on him, I would be concerned that they aren't proficient in waterfowl... he certainly has a very classic sign of sinus infection...
Sorry, this is why we were all stressing that this is an issue... hope you understand that we all weren't trying to 'nag' or 'gang up' on you... we are truly concerned... If the vet is not going to help you properly, I would ask Kathy for help...
Kathy, which antibiotic would you recommend?@Spyderk117 , read these (warning - graphic):While the swelling is still soft it's possible to treat some of them with antibiotics, but once the pus hardens, surgery is the only way to get the pus out. Please take your duck to the vet.
