BIG MAMA JUST NEARLY TOOK MY HEAD OFF! I had to move her to check for new eggs (which are suddenly starting to show up in her nest) and she surprised me and got on top of the nest box and if I hadn't caught her when I did I really believe I would be missing a lot of hair....

I am careful. usually she ducks into another box or runs out with the rest. I have to give it to her though cause she's terrified of me.

Well everyone home and doing great??? Less than 24 hrs left! Thanks I think I'll try it then. Do you add the yeast to it? @yoopergirl1211 I use FF with all my birds from hatchlings on up, actually I think the littles do better on ff because it's moist.

My first time for the adults I mixed 6 scoops feed and a a little under one scoop of scratch together in 5 gallon bucket then filled with water and add a couple glugs of Organic Apple Cider vinegar and stir. Stir it every day and after three days I strain it and use liquid for next batch. For babies Ijust do chick starter and some vitamins. I've been playing with different things mixed in for adults and make it in a 7 gallon garbage can now. They eat a ton of it at first. Mine finally leveled out at a normal amount.

The 5 gallon bucket was feeding about 25 birds for three days in the beginning when they were going nuts over it. Im still figuring out how much I need now that they leveled out with it and started free ranging. My coop smells so much better! And the babies in brooders have more consistent poop and smell better. I believe the 7 gallon garbage has lasted almost a week now. I was told it would hold for 2 weeks butI haven't had any extra to test it out for myself lol

When I first started I was out there three times a day lol. Now I fill it when I let them out around 10ish and more at night for in am because I leave them in there till 10 so they lay inside. But I'm new to it still so I might not be doing it correctly. It works for us and I can definitely tell my birds are better for having it!
