SHOULD I GO PUT WARM WATER ON IT INSTEAD

PLEASE HURRY I FEEL SO BAD IF I DID SOMETHING WRONG, IM LITERALLY FREAKING OUT
Okay if the membrane isn't brown and dried looking then maybe just put it back, if you think it's dry you might take a sterile pair of tweezers and just barely make a hole by pulling on the membrane. once you get that hole in their put the egg back under mom and leave it alone because every time you pull the egg out humidity is dropped and can cause the membrane to dry out too much and the duckling can't get out.

Just pour some rubbing alcohol over the tweezers to sterlize them

sorry I had to go let my flock out for the day.

think before you do anymore though, it's always best to let the duckling do all the work if it can.

If membrane looks brown and dry then very carefully where you see the bill make a small hole this will give the duckling air and it should be able to do the rest by itself.

okay now back off and let it do the rest. you can peek every once in a while but hopefully the lil one is on it's own now.

AND remember just because it's had some help doesn't mean it's going to pop out of that egg anytime soon, it will still take some time maybe even till tomorrow but it can breathe now so it should be okay to continue.
