I got Lucy (Cream legbar) and Penny (Sapphire gem) in 2020 and 2021 respectively. Both hens are super friendly and have brought me joy for years. They are the remaining duo from a small backyard flock. I had 11 at one time but age and circumstances have shrunk the flock to these 2 ladies. Neither lays anymore and Lucy has started crowing occasionally. Hilarious!!
Anyway, the reason for the post is that I'd like to find them a new home where they can live out their golden years with some friends. We have enjoyed having chickens but are sure they'd be happier in a larger flock. They're healthy fun birds with lovely colors and lovely personalities. Both are docile and Lucy enjoys lap time and a good cuddle from time to time. Penny never misses a chance to snatch a grape or investigate a new snack.
We are in the Raleigh, NC area.
If your flock has room for some super sweet hens I'd like to hear from you.
