Two month ago I was joking about it, and I posted a thread about how to find out if you have pullets or cockrels, and now I found out that it worked.

Here we Go, When your chicks about 8 weeks old or older you can test them by, Get the bird and put the chick on the ground catching her or him like you are the rooster, put your hand on the back of the bird and press a little firmly, if the Bird shaked the feather, then you have a pullet, and if it does not, then you might have a cockrel.

TRy it, it is fun.

my females shake their feathers after a roo gets to them all the time

doesnt matter what female it is all mine do it here

Not allways, I had two pullets they were 10 weeks old and because of thier coloring most ppl thought that they might be cockrels.

My cockerels shake themselves after an especially good crow too... I have a BL Polish roo who is my top dawg and he sometimes crows so hard he has to have a shake and then a little rest afterwards. But its true that the hens fluff/shake their feathers after pecking order dust ups and rooster encounters too...
