The egg i found this morning!

That is an ouch!!!!! I had one a while back, not sure who laid it. Still looking for the poor dear... All my hens are brown egg layers, 3/4 of my eggs are light brown.

I'd like to know the breed too!! When did they start laying? Our girls turned 13 weeks old wednesday, I am assuming we'll get the first egg around 20 weeks but who knows!

I have 2 rhode island reds, 4 buffs, and 4 black shooting stars I think. They are 29 wks. One of my rhode island reds was the first to lay about18 wks. It took another 4 or 5 wks before the others started, but not all are laying. I get about 6 to 7 a day. I also have 7 roosters. They really know how to make music about 530am each and every day. I love them all and I can tell which one is starting up the band and who is last. Sometimes we get a duet, LOL....
