My Barred Rock is a great layer! She makes an awesome pet! Loves to be held! She is so big! I think it's her fluffy feathers!

Haha! One of my production reds were also like that! She laid huge eggs in the beginning, but for some reason her eggs started getting smaller, never figured that out!:)

She is the one in my avatar! She has the funniest little personality! Sometimes I think she thinks shes a rooster

Awwww!!! My chicken thinks she's so tough! Once my neighbors chicken was in my yard and she went up to with her chest sticking out. But then the other chicken pecked and she started screaming and ran away! Lol!

7 chickens but get only 3 eggs a day.
14.45 minutes daylight now.
Got 3 free chickens-maybe they are too old.
HELP!!!!! I was told they were the right age to be layers.
Anyone know how to tell if a chicken is too old.

I have 7 birds. 5 or 6 eggs a day. But one of them lays huge eggs! Frequent double yolks
