I have a white rock that has been squatting for a couple of days now. I went out to the coop this morning and let them out and noticed near her vent she had what looked like dried blood on the feathers. I immediatly thought that she must have laid an egg somewhere, so I looked everywhere. In the nest boxes, around in the coop and in the run. (they do not free range, due to so many predators around us) I have not seen an egg anywhere. Could this just be a start to something? or do you think she laid somewhere? Maybe a soft-shell and she ate it???
