Well, apparently the egg song has been redefined by my ladies.

I have one that sings the song from the moment the first egg of the day is laid until I go collect. Then if more eggs are laid, she will start singing again until I go collect the eggs.

This might seem odd until you translate the egg song into common human tongue. The lyrics go as such:

Treat, treat, treat, treat, tre-eat!
We have made an egg, to e-eat!
Come get your new cackleberry!
Many treats will make us merry!

This was written by Terrie Lacy a couple Christmas's ago.

It's the Egg Song during Christmas time.

This is one of mine, sung to The Carol of the Bells

I laid an egg
Look at my Egg
Get over here
Come see my egg

I laid it here
Bring me a treat
I get a treat
Get off your rear.

Ba-gawk, Ba-gawk
That is my song
An hour long
I laid an egg

Cannot you hear
My eggy cheer
From in the coop
Right by the poop

Oh how we lay,
right in the hay,
pushing it out,
without a doubt,

Gaily we sing
announcing
Egg laying here,
With so much cheer,

Merry, merry, merry, merry Egg-ness,
Merry, merry, merry, merry Egg-ness,
And on we say ,
Day after day,
Our joyful noise
to everyone
Bawk Honk Quack Bawk Honk Quack

Mine sing more before they lay than after. They'll wander around the coop squawking at it for 20 minutes before they go inside and lay an egg. Hilarious! I love em!
