The Emus Are Hatching! Update-> New Problem!

So I looked in the incubator, and lo and behold an egg is cracked halfway open! The emus are officially hatching, even though they should be hatching on Friday! Ahh! I'm so excited!

Just think, the more they push around, the stronger their legs are, and in Emu's strong legs are everything.....

Uggh.. I just ran into another problem.

It looks like the yolk was not all the way absorbed, is this right? The hole/sore is in a really weird place, I don't think it's the vent, but it also could be the nave. What do you think?

I have never raised emu, but it looks like a chickens umbilicus... Not 100% sure though...

yep it doesnt go into the vent. will look a bit oozey and swollen but shouldn't have much mass hanging out
