Good evening all!

Could this be the result of a broody hen? She is the only one with a hairless rear end but not entirely sure if she is the actual broody one. Please advise.

Thanks!

Pic not very clear.
Butt(haha) you'd know if she was broody....she would be in the nest most the day and all night.

Is she on nest most the day and all night?
When you pull her out of nest and put her on the ground, does she flatten right back out into a fluffy screeching pancake?
Does she walk around making a low cluckcluckcluckcluckcluck(ticking bomb) sound on her way back to the nest?

If so, then she is probably broody and you'll have to decide how to manage it.

Thanks for the response. Not quite sure if she is the broody one. I've got to pay more attention. I was just wondering if the hairless booty was a byproduct of being broody.
