(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
No, I am not at all new to chickens. It all began 3 years ago in March when I was interested in eggs and a backyard flock. I purchased 5 production red hens that were egg-cellent layers!

(2) How many chickens do you have right now? 5. One rooster and four hens

(3) What breeds do you have?
A Black Copper Maran rooster and 4 Easter Egger hens. They lay green eggs too! One also has cross beak but it is more of a mild form. She still eats, drinks without a problem and has a full crop everytime I feel her. I wouldn't plan on culling her.

(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
Ornamentation of some breeds and the eggs. I enjoy taking pictures of them and setting up a backround to modify and brighten the pictures.

(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Photography, hiking, running, horseback riding and incubating eggs especially. Bringing new baby chickies into the world is always exciting!

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I have a dog, a horse and five hens whom I absolutely love!

(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community? :D
By Researching Google on chicken keeping, treating sickness and integrating new birds of all sizes.
P.S. What breeds do you guys recommend for a ornamental show quality breed?

Hope you all accept me to this wonderful flock of yours!
